YWMC shares $1.45 million grant from Ascendium Education Group
YWMC recently received a second-round grant from Ascendium’s Maintain Momentum for Student Success Initiative and was pleased to be able to offer dues relief to its institutional members thanks to the grant.
Coalition members — now numbering 40 schools — appreciated the support provided by Ascendium too. Maintain Momentum recipients are membership organizations and networks chosen because their members substantially serve low-income students, the target population of Ascendium’s philanthropy. The other second-round recipients were Association of American Colleges & Universities (AAC&U) and National College Attainment Network (NCAN).
Maintain Momentum grants allow networks and membership organizations to offer discounted dues to their members and allow services and offerings to be adapted for remote and online delivery even as grantees continue to champion such reforms as data-informed decision-making, guided pathways reform and leadership development.
